If I’m not blessed in… ?
Q: What if I’m not being blessed in my local church?
Your spiritual growth is very important and it shouldn’t be toyed with. Forget sentiments and look for a church where you’ll be thoroughly equipped and edified, one that will spur you unto good works, one where God’s word is taught. Are you looking for a perfect church? You won’t find it.
Every local church consists of a mixture of members, all of whom are flawed to one extent or another. Even though you will not find a perfect church, do your best to find a solid church that honors the Bible and the essential beliefs of Christianity. As you search for a church, pray for God’s guidance.
Q: If a man gives to the poor and lives a good life, can God allow him into Heaven?
A man’s good deeds won’t make him righteous in God’s sight. No human being without Christ can do one single good work and even the good works of the justified are imperfect and therefore can’t contribute anything to God’s acceptance of us. What qualifies you for heaven is salvation, which is by grace through faith in Jesus (Ephesians 2:8-9). Recall, all have sinned but Jesus has brought salvation, so that all who believe will be saved. Jesus is the only way (John 14:6)
Q: How do I relate with my unsaved friends?
Show them love, pray for them and as often as you can, evangelize to them. Jesus wants them to be saved just as much as HE wanted you saved. But you shouldn’t be unequally yoked with them (as long as they’re unsaved) 2 Corinthians 6:14 – don’t be a party to their wrong doings just to feel among, know that they may no longer be your closest friends, because your motivations and desires no longer align 1 Corinthians 15:33. Hate their evil deeds, but love them still, because God loves them irrespective of their deeds. You don’t have to discriminate against or spite them. However, gently let them know your stand as a Christian.
Q: How can I hear God?
Bear in mind that God is your father and HE wants you to be able to discern HIS voice by yourself. So as you fellowship with HIS Spirit; studying your bible and communing in prayer, you’ll sharpen your sensitivity to hear and recognize God’s voice.
