It will end in Praise

We face challenges and tough situations that sometimes make us question God’s existence. The cares of life weigh us down and we struggle with our faith. From sickness to joblessness, to poverty or to not just knowing what step to take next in our lives- these ill factors can drive us into the arms of depression. We are worried about numerous things that we don’t’ necessarily have the power to control or change. Our faith is being stretched and we wonder if the situation will end. There are even days we cry and want to give up, and sometimes we want God to take our lives just to put an end to our misery. Likewise, we have read scriptures that say weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. The challenge for some us is that our nights seem so long and endless.

The Bible urges us in these instances to make our request known to God in prayer and thanksgiving.  He has told us to cast our cares and burdens upon Him for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Put your hope in Christ, trust Him. The Bible tells us that God owns the cattle upon a thousand hills (Psalms 50:10), it says the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof (Psalms 24:1). God is not a man that He should lie and so when He says we should ask and believe that we receive and what we ask shall be granted, He means it. It is important to remember that God is concerned about us. He sees us and knows our needs. So we should put our trust in Him.

The Bible talks about how David encouraged himself in the Lord (1 Samuel 30:6). We also remember the story of Job, how he lost everything yet God’s restoration power gave him double for his trouble. So are you feeling hopeless today? Has life’s trouble weighed you down? Look unto Jesus, He is the answer to all your struggles.

I want to end by saying that we should develop a thankful heart, no matter the situation we find ourselves. Romans 8:18 tells us that even the sufferings of this world cannot be compared with the glory God has prepared for us. It also says in verse 28 that all things are working together for our good because we love God and are called according to his purpose. Verse 35-39 concludes the chapter by stating rightly: no death or life or distress or persecution or powers or things to come can separate us from the love of God.

We are more than conquerors Hallelujah!

So whatever situation we find ourselves we should put our trust in God because He has promised that it will end in praise.
